  • Local Workforce Plan Review
    The Cobb Workforce Development Board is soliciting comments on the local component of the draft regional workforce plan, Region 3, Area 4: Cobb County WIOA Plan for 2016-2020. Click on the link below to review the plan. Comments regarding local aspects of the plan should be submitted to ncarsten@cobbworks.org.  All comments must be received 5:00 p.m. EST on August 22, 2016.

  • Regional Workforce Plan Review
    As required by the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA), the five Local Workforce Development Boards in the 10-county metro Atlanta region (Workforce Region 3) have prepared a regional workforce plan for the counties of Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale. The document is available for review and comment on the Atlanta Regional Commission’s (ARC) website at: http://www.atlantaregional.com/workforce-solutions/overview
     
    A hardcopy of the regional workforce plan is available for review at the ARC office located at 40 Courtland Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. Contact the ARC Workforce Solutions Division at 404-463-3326 if you are interested in reviewing the document at ARC. Comments will be accepted during a 30-day period beginning July 14, 2016.   • Mission Transition
    CobbWorks and partners would like to invite all veterans to our Mission Transition event on July 29 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at The Collective at Cumberland Community Church. The event will provide workshops and resources to help in the transition from military to civiian life.

    Build Cobb Partnership is offering Cobb County residents free construction skills training. The program leads to industry recognized credentials and the opportunity to work with some of Atlanta's best commercial construction contractors.
